Is this it?

A marine in World War II was disappointed that he had not killed a Japanese soldier. At the edge of a jungle he tried to smoke them out, by shouting, "To hell with Hirohito!" It worked. A Japanese soldier came out and shouted," To hell with Roosevelt!" But the marine lowered his weapon, saying, "Darn it, I can't shoot a fellow Republican."

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've been tied up with the holidays and haven't checked the site in a while.

Can anyone tell me the joke that E.R. told the troops in the Pacific in WW2.

I remember seeing her on film. It went something like this: "A Jap yelled,'to hell with Roosevelt,' and E.R. came back with a quip that seemingly agreed.

I need this for a talk I'm going to give, and can't find it anywhere.

If you know her response, please e-mail me at JackL359@aol.com Thanks.
